Maze Stone is the opening poem in a cycle of six called Sculpture at Margam by Hilary Llewellyn-Williams. The cycle first appeared in 1997 when it was published as part of her collection animaculture. As well as this version for soprano, clarinet and piano there is also a version for soprano and small orchestra. Both versions were first performed by Sylvia Strand.
