Maze Stone is the opening poem in a cycle of six called Sculpture at Margam by Hilary Llewellyn-Williams. The cycle first appeared in 1997 when it was published as part of her collection animaculture. As well as this small-orchestra version  there is also a version for soprano, clarinet and piano. Both versions were first performed by Sylvia Strand.
